WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Our global network consists of about 2,000 lawyers in 38 offices in 26 countries. Our 2011 summer class includes 60 Summer Associates across our five US offices representing 30 law schools. This year, we plan to visit 27 schools and participate in 8 job fairs during on-campus interviews (OCI). If we visit your school, we encourage you to stop by our hospitality suite to meet our associates and recruiters. You're also welcome to submit your résumé directly to the Firm. During the callback process, we make every effort to match your practice area interests with our lawyers. We view the interview process as a two-way street, and our goal is for you to get as much information as possible about our Firm and our training programs so that you can make the best decision about where to start your legal career.

There is no such thing as a typical White & Case recruit. We recruit people from many national and cultural backgrounds, and with widely varied personalities. Even so, there are a few special qualities we always look for.

It goes without saying that we expect intelligence and academic excellence. The way you think is crucial. You need to be able to analyze how the law works and be creative, yet pragmatic in your interpretation of it. In time, our clients will come to depend on your ability to think laterally when resolving a complex issue or structuring an international transaction on their behalf. You will also need to be a team player. Your colleagues will depend on you to perform tasks accurately, efficiently and on time. Integrity is part of the same equation. It is absolutely vital to the well-being of your clients and the reputation of your colleagues and the Firm that your professional standards are beyond question. We value your interests outside of the office and, of course, it helps to have a sense of humor.

We are committed to recruiting the right people and equally committed to helping them develop into well-respected legal professionals. We create an environment where you'll fit in with plenty of room to stand out.
